Lily's story starts in December 2000. I wanted a
horse for Christmas. When I went to look at Arabian
horses, the two 6-month-old Straight Egyptian stud
colts I was supposed to have met were out of their
paddocks and
last seen headed toward Boulder....hmmm... 'Do you
have something older?" I asked. The breeder said,
'Yes'.
MJL Ale Hazallah was 7 and though she had produced a
spectacular black filly that year, she just 'wasn't
pretty enough' to breed. Well, she was certainly
pretty enough for me. Her future didn't look too
rosy...no training to ride and now, no career...I
bought her on the spot.
So, I call her my first rescue because she rescued
me from a very nice life...and has made it magical.
Lily is the Hebrew meaning of Susan.
Lily likes to sort cattle, barrel race, trail ride,
be in parades, she's just a good sport about most
anything
I ask her to do. We are striving for classical
riding. Lily is my once in a lifetime horse.
