'Tiara Fantasy
Moun'...Friends and I were at a 'Rodeo Play Day'
where this angel was just standing in a pen. It was
at a Quarter Horse ranch and no one had much
interest in an Arab. As I understand, she'd been
boarded there, but her human ran out of money, so
she was payment.
While my friends were winning ribbons chasing cows
and running barrels, I was captivated by this mare.
My competition horse just stood tied to the trailer.
Tara, as she was called at the time, was spirited
and so kind and looked like a yearling. Long feet,
dred locks for a mane and tail, skinny, with a lump
on her rump...she'd never been ridden, barely been
touched, and wary of most everything.
It wasn't til I got her home and started on her
paperwork that I saw how beautifully she was bred.
Her black sire, 'Nite Mover' had won most every show
he'd competed in from halter to western pleasure.
She had been leased out to Valentine Arabians in
Fort Collins and produced two amazing foals for
them. She's back home now and we're hoping for a
baby in the spring of 2011..
